All Vehicles Are Drop Off Only-There IS NO WAITING
1. DO NOT roll windows down for 3 days in summer or 4 days in winter after installation. This will allow time for the film adhesive to cure.
2. Window Film is installed on the inside of your vehicle, YOU CAN GO THROUGH A CAR WASH RIGHT AWAY, But don't clean the inside glass until cured
Visual changes after installation are a normal part of the adhesive bonding process.
3. CURE TIME: When the haziness and water pockets have disappeared, the film is considered dry or cured and it is safe to be cleaned. Depending on the film type and weather conditions, it may take up to 30 days for the film to fully cure.
4. You may clean the inside window surface with any normal automotive or household strength glass cleaner.
5. DO NOT USE: Abrasive cleaners, Industrial Strength Glass Cleaners and/or any other window cleaning tools that may scratch the window film.
Choose what’s right for you.
SunTek empowers vehicle owners and professional installers by offering a broad selection of automotive tint products, each able to improve the look and performance of window glass in its own way. No matter the set of benefits, we don’t compromise on formulation for installation ease, as this is critical for everyone’s product satisfaction.
Our trustworthy tint is engineered with technologies ranging from time-tested to cutting-edge and offered in styles from rich black to optically clear. Customers are starting to get confused on the different films that we offer and what other shops offer, so lets try to explain this, so you can have a better understanding of what’s going on.
Let’s take HP (High Performance) – Metalized Film first. HP film is composed of layers of metal, used to increase durability and to prevent fading. We have been using this film since we started, and it has a proven track record of resisting fading, an excellent scratch coating, good bonding adhesive, is durable and reliable. The problem with HP, and all metalized films are that newer vehicles have more electronics and features, such as built in Navigation Systems, Tire Pressure Sensors, Satellite and HD Radio, WIFI, etc. The rear (back) window not only has defroster lines in them, but many windows also incorporate antennas into them, which are similar to, and resemble the defroster lines, and metalized film can actually block RF (Radio Frequency) signals from reaching the radio and sensors, via these cleverly hidden antenna lines.
This is where non-metalized films, such as SunTek®’s Carbon, CarbonXP™ (CXP), and Ceramic (CIR) Films come into play. These films are specifically designed for newer vehicles with these options.
Carbon, and CarbonXP films are made from layers of carbon nano-particles (in place of metal) specifically to maintain color stability, and to remedy the problems associated with the use of metal near/around these sensitive electronic components. Both films feature a Non-Reflective “true-black” finish that will not fade. (See our Lifetime Warranty). The HP (High Performance) Metalized film features a “charcoal” finish, which more closely resembles the slightly reflective property of the embedded “privacy glass” that comes standard in the rear of many Trucks, Van’s and SUV’s.
HP (High Performance) film is also available in bronze, and a light blue color’s (in limited shades/darkness).
Both the HP (High Performance) Metalized, and the non-metalized Carbon and Ceramic films are both premium quality products, carry a lifetime warranty, and meet the strict standards for quality and performance required for us to carry/install them onto our customers vehicles, however newer vehicles just simply require non-metalized film.
Carbon and Ceramic Films are composed using a more costly process.. so in-turn, these films cost us more to purchase them. However, our pricing structure only reflects the difference in cost for each of the available types of film that we sell — meaning we don’t increase our profits by charging you more for the more expensive films, we simply pass on the difference in cost.. and this is to help keep the cost to you (the buyer) as low as possible, while making sure you get the right film for your vehicle without hurting your wallet in the process!
Call us or stop in today for an interactive demo of each of the film types listed here, or to ask us any questions you may have about which film is right for your vehicle.
We have been in this location a long time, and we are a busy shop, most customers know that it takes a week to get in here for an appointment during the busier months, but we Pay It Forward. This last year and previous years we donate to the OPERATION IMPACT PROGRAM, started by Alderman Bob Donovan this program accepts donations from local business and the money is used to put more Police Officers on the street, Walking Beats, Riding Bikes, Supplying Cameras to various High Crime Locations and they are put into areas that normally don't seen a lot of police presence. This last Thanksgiving we gave many families $60.00 gift cards to Pick N' Save so that the less fortunate people could have a decent Thanksgiving dinner, Some were chosen by the Alderman, some were chosen the 2nd district police station, and some I picked out of the Facebook Milwaukee Southsiderz Page. We will continue to keep on Supporting Our Community!

So, you’re calling around for tint pricing, and start asking weather or not the film that the shop uses will cause interference with your vehicles navigation and radio signals and their answer could be,
“Our film will not interfere with wireless signals.”
and they may not be lying! The reason being, many other shops carry ultra-low grade’s of film, which are nothing more than a dyed-plastic, ordered directly from China over the internet.
And, YES.. these films will NOT interfere with your vehicles wireless RF systems, but (being dyed plastic) they almost always fade and/or turn purple when it starts to break down from the sun’s UV rays.
Another hidden down-fall of buying cheap, Chinese, “budget tint” from tint shops who offer deep discounts, is the film’s optical clarity (or lack thereof).
When inferior film starts to break-down, it starts to get blurry, and eventually huge bubbles begin appear on the rear window where the film is exposed to the most, direct sunlight.
We’ve all seen vehicles that have a purple color hue to the tint. This isn’t the normal color of the tint, this is caused by the sun bleaching out the yellow dye in the film first, and the lack of yellow dye results in a window film that appears purple, or blue.
Don’t be afraid to ask what grade of tint a shop is putting on your car.. you should even ask to see proof. Ask to see the box that your film came from, and look at the label on the box carefully. The label should match the grade of film they sold you over the phone, or at the shop when you check your your vehicle in.
Another important factor about the film to consider, besides the brand-name, is the actual product-line within that brand. Some shops will brag about carrying SunTek® brand films, when in reality, they only stock the most basic, lowest priced film that SunTek® manufactures. Like all companies who make things, film manufacturers offer many different lines of films, which offer different features, and have very different price points.
Not only does SunTek® sell industry-leading, premium films like their Ceramic IR™ (CIR®) and Carbon XP™ (CXP®) series, they also make some very basic, low-cost films, like their Standard/Standard PRO line. And while both are quality window films, made by a trusted manufacturer, they are often sold AS Carbon (or in some cases) Ceramic to their unsuspecting customers, who are not only trusting them to install the actual film that they think they’re buying, but they’re also trusting them with their vehicle, their personal belongings, and worst of all.. their identity, personal info, and in most cases, access to their car/house keys too!
Some shops use a product which we in the industry affectionately refer to as “White Box”, which is often passed off as carbon film, when in reality, it’s nothing more than dyed plastic, which is manufactured in China and is basically worthless. I wouldn’t even use that stuff to line my pantry shelves with!
There are other good films out there, and there are shops that do offer a good product and do not play games, so don’t be afraid to ask.
When looking for a shop, make sure they specialize in what they do, not a shop that does 25 different things because in most cases, shops like that are hardly good at any of them.
Tint Boyz is Milwaukee’s favorite automotive window tint installer for good reason. We have been installing automotive window film at our original Milwaukee location for over 20 years!
Tint Boyz is an authorized SunTek® Installer, and we are proud to offer only the best SunTek® Films available. Choose from High Performance Series features 99% UV protection and a metal-hybrid construction for premium performance and superior durability.
The SunTek Carbon Series is a non-metal film, perfect for late-model (2010 and newer) vehicles, many of which feature sensitive on-board electronics, and are not compatible with metallic window films. To solve this problem, SunTek spent millions of dollars in research, developing their Carbon Series films. The result is a film that out performs the competition in both performance and price.
A more recent addition to the Carbon Series line of films, is Carbon XP (CXP), a next-generation film that offers top-of-the-line protection from the sun’s harmful energy, and the classy, deep-black look that modern car owners want.
SunTek® Carbon XP™ boasts all of the same great features as the Carbon Series, along with additional ultra-violet, and infrared protection, so not only will CXP protect you and your car’s interior from the sun’s harmful rays, but it will also keep your car interior much COOLER than any other film in it’s class.
For the ultimate in looks and protection, Tint Boyz is proud to offer SunTek Ceramic Infrared Series film.
